Arcitechtural Class Photo by JP O'Neill As with my previous picture, this is an aged black and white image taken about 20 years ago. The deterioation of the print has added so much to an otherwise mediocre picture. As an icon, the Liverbirds literally are the city. Whilt other cities have landmarks, the liverbirds, to me at least, stand alone because they are embedded in the conciousness of the city and the country. I once watched an Cambridge student on University Challenge confuse an image of St Georges Hall and its square with the classical cities of Italy. Nobosdy anywhere confuses the Liverbird with anything else. Enter your picture Back to images menu More Community images: |
